Intro to Level Up Classics

Updated: Oct 23, 2019

I love cars. I love encountering eye-catching classic cars even more. It all began in my teenage years, when I started wrenching on cars in a high school auto shop. Growing up, I never really got to see exotic cars. They only existed on a wooden tube television or over the internet after you hear a bunch of buzzing from a dial-up modem. When I got to pick a movie to watch, it was either a dubbed VHS of Gone in 60 seconds or Fast and Furious over and over again. When you mix this recipe together, you get a cocktail called Level Up Classics.

The cars I dreamed about growing up are becoming “classic cars” and now I have the means to obtain some of them. Classic cars are characterized as cars being 20 years old or older with some historical significance.

As many have seen, classic car prices are skyrocketing, and they have become great investment vehicles to help diversify a portfolio. Not only are they becoming great collectibles, but you can also enjoy getting behind the wheel and going for a spirited drive. Classic cars are now sought out by enthusiasts all around the world.

As my passion grew, I spent a lot of time working on different types of cars. I learned the mechanics and gained hands-on experience on numerous platforms. Along the way my cars got wilder and more exotic. Eventually, I called this my leveling up process.

From starting out on cheap beater cars, I was able to make my way up to more distinguished cars such as Porsche's and BMW's. I find that in each class of cars there is a hierarchy and moving up in the hierarchy is comparable to getting a promotion. While the term “level up” is not new, it is a great way to stay motivated in continuing what I’m passionate about.

When I combined my automotive passion together with my love for childhood nostalgic cars, Level Up Classics was born. My dream is to fill my garage with all the classic cars I grew up admiring.

Level Up Classics is a lifestyle I believe many can identify with. It is agnostic to the type of modifications you have, amount of money spent, rarity of what you have, style you choose, purpose you bought the car, brand you like, or even the colors of your faded panels. If you have a passion for old classic cars and you like to fix them up, then this is the place for you. Fixing up cars doesn’t have to mean making it flashy, it can just as easily mean restoring a car to its purest form as well. We hear a lot of back and forth with purist and tuners, but here we all just love cars and everyone has their own style.

Stay tuned for more blogs on seeking out these classic cars, and I will share more of my stories and adventures with you. Subscribe and follow on our social media channels and remember to always keep looking for LUC (Level Up Classics).
